About Gao Ju (Singapore)
Trained in a performing troupe, Gao Ju is an actor, writer, violinist and trained in the Korean martial art, Hapkido. He has tackled a number of diverse roles on stage, TV and film. In 2004, he played the role of “Vick” in “Life” by Dramaplus Arts and multiple roles in “Olde Time Musical Hall by Roger Jenkins. In 2005, Gao Ju played the role of “Xing Jian” in “Ling Ting” (I Can Hear You) by Omniarts, the role of “Mr L” in “Home and Station” by The Fun Stage, hosted “Buddhist Youth Jam” at Ngee Ann City, played the role of “Chinese Coolie” in “Sentosa’s Images of Singapore Trade Show” by Euphoria Productions and played the role of “Tin Man” in “Wizard of Oz” by Stagehandz. 2006 saw him playing the roles of “Bob Ewell”, “Dill” and “Heck Tate” in Harper Lee’s famous “To Kill a Mocking Bird” produced by Theatreworks. The same year Gao Ju played the role of Zip in “Zip and Zap”, a mime repertoire by Mime Unlimited. In 2007, Gao Ju acted in two school productions by D’rama Arts, playing the roles of “Alan” in “Mind Our Language” and “Ah Seng” in “Founder’s Day”. Furthermore, Gao Ju has acted in numerous TV programmes. He played the role of “Gorilla in “Heartlanders” by Dreamforest Studios for Channel 5, the policeman in “The Undisclosed” by Matrix Visions for Channel 8, the male lead in “New Moon Essence of Chicken” TVC by Shooting Gallery and Greg in “Without Warning” by Mediacorp Studios Channel 5. He is also well known for his appearance in a KFC “Chili Pepper Meltz” commercial and in the M1 “You Deserve Better” commercial. He was last seen playing a transvestite in “Oh!” by Agni Koothu.
Lavender and Peppermint are his cats.
